Rebrand:
First, the name Social Motion is no longer. Since starting Social Motion over 3 years ago, a lot has changed. The company has morphed and changed (and continues to do so) into much more than what I had initially conceived. Initially, I pictured Social Motion solely as a social content creation and management agency. While I still consider us pretty darn good at, and continue to specialize in, creating great social media content, we are routinely called upon to complete projects that span far beyond.
Eyeglue, Social Motion’s new identity, will be positioned as more of a micro-production company, capable of creating great video and animation for our agency partners, businesses, brands, municipalities, and nonprofits--in whichever form that may be. Whether that be an animation for a stadium setting, batches of videos for Tiktok, a short-form documentary, or a looping 360 video clip, I do not want our identity to pigeon-hole us into one genre of production. I’d like to think that video and animation are the paint brushes, and we can paint on many different surfaces.
That being said, the specialties and capabilities of Eyeglue remain largely unchanged (or if anything, are growing) — on-site video production, remote editing & animation, and an expertise in social media/distribution best practices to bring it all together.
In short, the new name represents a better way to describe what we do best— create great, visual video content, in whatever form that may be.
While I started as a one-man band, I now get to include an incredible network of freelancers in almost every project I am called to work on -- from animators to boom operators to camera operators and beyond. While the person behind Social Motion / Eyeglue remains me, it increasingly likely includes a gamut of additional talent.
New Email:
With this new identity comes a few changes — emails coming from me will be from nick@itseyeglue.com, and the link to the website is also changing. (itseyeglue.com)
New Camera:
Finally, the inner camera nerd in me is excited to announce the acquisition of an FX6 from Sony’s Cinema Line. If you know me, you know I love to ideate video content. In a world that is full of mediocre content, it is my goal to help you elevate the quality of your content even further — not only through thoughtful and purposeful storytelling, but also through the actual quality of video we deliver.
TL;DR:
• New name (Eyeglue), email (nick@itseyeglue.com), and website (itseyeglue.com)
• Same phone number
• New camera
